Environmental Reviews

Specialize in assisting HUD Entitlement grantees, local governments and Public Housing Agencies with the completion of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Environmental Assessments and other levels of environmental reviews for all 24 CFR Part 58 HUD Programs.

Assist non-profits, developers and other non-governmental HUD grantees such as Habitat for Humanity, Continuum of Care (CoC) grantees, and FHA lenders with the completion of HUD Part 58 and Part 50 environmental reviews.

Technical Assistance

Provide expert technical assistance and guidance to local governments, Housing Authorities, and non-profit organizations receiving HUD funding in meeting all HUD environmental compliance requirements including:

• Floodplain Management and Wetland Protection
• Coastal Zone Management
• Sole Source Aquifers
• Endangered Species
• Wild and Scenic Rivers
• Air Quality
• Farmlands Protection
• HUD Noise, Explosive Facilities and Airport Hazard environmental standards
• HUD policy and EPA contamination requirements under CERCLA

Provide “Wellness Check-ups” to assist grantees in preparing for HUD Monitoring visits as well as existing compliance issues

Assist Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), CDBG-R and HOME Entitlement grantees in stream-lining the environmental review process, expedite spending and improve timeliness by developing Tiered Environmental Reviews for unspecified sites

Assist responsible entities with the development of Environmental Policies and Procedures tailored to their specific needs

Provide technical assistance to lenders seeking HUD FHA multi-family mortgage insurance on HUD’s MAP Guide environmental requirements

Training

Provide in-depth, on-site, individualized training on the HUD Environmental Review Online System (HEROS)

Provide customized training seminars for large groups such as State Housing Agencies, Public Housing Authorities, Community Planning and Development Organizations and Non-profit Organizations
